Senior Modeller - Brisbane Based

BDS VirCon is seeking to appoint a Senior Modeller to join its Virtual Construction and Research and Development arm in Brisbane. You will be reporting to the Technical Manager as part of a dynamic and innovative team involved in innovation in virtual construction and BIM.

The position requires:

Wide experience and detailed knowledge of Navisworks and the ability to facilitate interoperability and manipulate data from various formats/sources.
A natural curiosity for design systems/software with a passion to explore and develop innovative solutions.
Knowledge of the construction industry and site activities on large commercial and industrial projects.
Experience in a 4D environment and exposure to Tekla Structure would be advantageous.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Must have the right to work in Australia i.e. citizen or permanent resident.

Manager – Forensic Modelling

BDS VirCon is seeking to appoint a Manager (Forensic Modelling) to join its Brisbane office.

The position requires:

At least ten years site experience in either construction, erection or expediting roles with a major firm, and a thorough understanding of the construction process of major projects.
Must be technology savvy and curious, with an innate interest in BIM and IPD. Extensive exposure to either Tekla Structures or similar software is essential.
An engineering qualification and exposure to construction litigation would be an advantage.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with a marketing flair.
The ability to work in a small team across functions and contries.
Must have the right to work in Australia i.e. citizen or permanent resident.

BDS VirCon is seeking to appoint an admin assistant with exposure to the construction industry in its Brisbane office. You will be part of an innovative, international team involved in projects globally. The role will entail:

Maintaining the project files of design drawings, specifications, calculations, client reference drawings, and other engineering documents as required.
Co-ordinating inter-office and client drawings and other documents as necessary
Other administrative functions as required from time-to-time

BIM Business Development Executive - Brisbane

BDS VirCon is seeking to appoint an experienced construction Building Information Modelling ("BIM") professional to grow its BIM practice. The role will entail the development of a construction BIM business with engineers and general contractors. Working closely with our captive R&D team you will develop innovative and practical BIM solutions for the construction sector. The position requires:

Hands-on site experience in project management or construction and a thorough understanding of the construction process of major projects.
Marketing flair with contacts in the engineering and construction industry.
Technology savvy and curious, with an innate interest in BIM and IPD and extensive exposure to software such as Primavera, Navisworks, Tekla Structures, Tekla BIMsight or similar software.

BDS is seeking to appoint Senior Steel Detailers and Project Co-ordinators to join its growing well-established and reputed team. You will be based in either the head office in either Brisbane Australia or Auckland, New Zealand (you pick) and be part of a dynamic, innovative, international team. You will be involved in detailing and project managing Australian resources projects that are being executed both locally and in our wholly owned overseas offices. To succeed in this role you will need:

At least ten years steel detailing experience
Extensive hands-on Tekla Structures/ Xsteel experience is an absolute pre-requisite
Extensive experience in industrial and resources projects preferred
Proven project management and co-ordination skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
